Corrupt Bush Cabinet Member of The Week: Dirk Kempthorne, Interior Secretary

"As if my last report that pesticides are reducing average penis sizes was not alarming enough, we now receive further confirmation that the Bush Adminsitration and the chemical industry are engaging in an improper campaign to exert pressure on EPA scientists and government officials to cover-up the damage pesticides are doing to the growing nervous systems of fetuses, infants, and children ... The scientists accuse the EPA of putting the 'concerns of agriculture and the pesticide industry" before the agency's "responsibility to protect the health of our Nation's citizens.' Of all the moral outrages and lapses of the Bush Administration this has to be among the most corrupt and criminal."

I guess Kempthorne hasn't really done anything to address Delaney's damning testimony about deeply ingrained corruption at the Bush Interior Department ... "Simply stated, short of a crime, anything goes at the highest levels of the Department of the Interior."

If you think anything goes at the highest levels of the Department of Interior, it is noteworthy to see how everything went when Dirk Kempthorne was the Governor of Idaho. Dirk Kempthorne never addresses anything abouth ethics or corruption because you see, that would be calling the kettle black. If you think his refusal to address Delaney's damning testimony was bad, you should get a load of this website:http://www.freemarketduck.com
Look for Boise's Watergate, University Place and all the Govenor's men. You will soon discover that ethics is the wrong thing to asking this guy. By the way, I do believe Kempthorne has not been fully absolved from a federal investigation.

Of course Kempthorne hasn’t cracked down on industry’s environmental degradation by directing injunctions or any other legal communiqué their way. He is far more interested in buying his time and leaving correspondence to the future when he will likely be mailing his resume out to these same entities for well-paid lobbyist positions. You certainly wouldn’t expect him to burn his bridges (especially with how seriously he takes air quality).
