Elections Over ... But It's STILL The Corruption, Stupid!
All the warm fuzzy chitchat about bipartisanship is something we will have to deal with for a while, but all you Dems that rode the netroots-driven anti-corruption drive into your fancy senate and house offices need to remember something. THIS REMAINS THE MOST CORRUPT ADMINISTRATION SINCE NIXON (and probably beyond).
It is time to start issuing subpoenas and get to the bottom of the host of election dirty tricks, wiretapping, secret prisons, torture, secret industry advisory groups, lobbyist bribes, and so on and so on ad nauseum. America's voters made a HUGE statement yesterday about the fact that they are fed up with the corruption and want to see heads roll. Pelosi et al had better not make the mistake of thinking that with Rumsfeld, Cunningham, Delay, Foley, Ney, Santorum, et al out of office that there is no more rottenness to be found through congressional investigations. You had better believe more rottenness is there, and you had better believe it is your responsibility to shine the light of day on it.
So, after the nice lunch with the preznit, and after the parties, and the victory lap, and all that pleasantness, please-o-please just get down to business. America expects you to finish the job that the voters started on November 7: throwing the corrupt bums out on the street. FIND THEM. ROOT THEM OUT. EXPOSE THEM. After all, it's STILL the corruption, stupid.
