Il Brutto, Il Cattivo:
"... bringing in the military is the only way (Bush's) advisors can think of to create an illusion of decisiveness and power in his current state of political impotence.  Mocking this stunt gives it too much credit ... this idea is so stupid that it's unlikely there's really even a plan to do it. Just an gimmick to help the president get through whatever new bad news is about to pop."

Bush Outsourcing Terror, Provoking Iran Crisis:
"Concern is building among the military and the intelligence community that the US may be preparing for a military strike on Iran... a terrorist organization known as Mujahedeen-e Khalq (MEK) is being used on the ground in Iran by the Pentegon, bypassing US intelligence channels."

What Was It Wilde Said About Art Imitating Life?
"The current season of 24 revolves around a president of the United States who aids and abets a terrorist plot so that it will scare the hell out of everyone ... In V for Vendetta, a British politician aids and abets a terrorist plot so that it will scare the hell out of everyone ... In Mission Impossible 3, the story revolves around a high-ranking intelligence officer who aids and abets a terrorist plot so that it will scare the hell out of everyone ..."

Death By 1000 Cuts for Environmental Protection:
"... $2 million cut sought by the White House would reduce the 35-year-old EPA Library Network's budget by 80 percent and force many of its 10 regional libraries to close ... The libraries provide documentation for enforcement cases and help EPA staff track new environmental technologies and the health risks associated with dangerous chemicals ... another example of the Bush administration marginalizing EPA research so that the agency scientists and other specialists can't do their jobs."
