Where Was Bush During Watergate?
Nixon Could Have Used Him:
"... the FBI acknowledged late Monday that it is increasingly seeking reporters' phone records in leak investigations ... It is a chilling scenario. Had this alleged power been used during the Nixon administration, Deep Throat would have been exposed before Watergate erupted ... and Nixon's illegal activities could have been covered up forever."
But God TOLD Me To:
"President Bush said to all of us: 'I'm driven with a mission from God. God would tell me, 'George, go and fight those terrorists in Afghanistan.' And I did, and then God would tell me, .George, go and end the tyranny in Iraq.' And I did.'"
So then what ... God told him to go pry into private citizens' phone records? God told him to wind up a racist base to attack Latino immigrants? God told him to attack Iran with nuclear weapons? Sure doesn't sound like the voice of the God I know ...
This is Just Too Creepy ...
Bush Appointee Emasculates Taxpayers:
"Chief Justice John Roberts, formerly a corporate lawyer, said in the official opinion that 'State taxpayers have no standing ... to challenge state tax or spending decisions ...' In other words ... state taxpayers throughout the country now have no legal right to challenge the decisions of their bought-and-paid-for elected officials who are selling off our government to the highest bidder."
Out-Roving Rove:
"If indicted, Rove will send Bush's favorability levels to astounding lows for the self-proclaimed "war-time" President. But while distracted by legal matters, Rove will no doubt likely to lurk behind the scenes of Republican grand strategy for some time ... The best way to beat Rove is to out-Rove him and Bush's fellow travelers, but there is scant evidence that that is happening yet."
Note to GOP - Blue Tsunami Gonna Git You, Sucka:
"In forty-seven states, Bush has a negative approval rating. In seventeen states, Bush's disapproval rating doubles his approval rating. In fifteen states, his disapproval rating is lower than any disapproval rating ever achieved my Nixon nationally ... It is a blue nation. I'd love to see these map on television and in newspapers for a little."
